Conservatives Should Embrace Trump

COMMON SENSE: I voted for Cruz, but he lost. Eventually, he couldn’t even compete. Now, I support Trump. In fact, I champion him. He may not be the Constitutionalist I desired, but he is a fearless advocate for the American people, and I’m tired of being led by a man who feels it is his duty to apologize for us.

 

I would rather have 75 percent of what I want than another four years of something I know I do not want. If Donald Trump secures our borders, rebuilds the military, and makes us energy independent, we will once again be a great nation, and he intends to do a lot more than that.

 

I exhort my fellow Conservatives to choose pragmatism over petulance and embrace the Trump candidacy. A seat at the table of power is being offered by this patriot, and we would be foolish to reject it, in favor of some misguided sense of self-righteous purity. To choose the way of a fool, as Mitt Romney has done, will do nothing more than ensure Obama’s legacy is preserved by the most corrupt woman in American history. Let’s help make history rather than be a victim of it.

Character Still Counts to Millions of Us

The Republican Tsunami on Tuesday was possible for one reason: People of faith stood strong and resolute for the values that have traditionally made America great. Obtaining our strength from Almighty God, we dug in and did the work necessary to expose the Democrats deeds of darkness. Because greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, we created a resounding victory for the Rule of Law and abiding by our Constitution.

But we are not even close to being done. In fact, we are just at the end of the beginning. The pundits are already saying the Democrats are certain to rebound in 2016, and Hillary Clinton may be the ultimate beneficiary of what happened on Tuesday. Once again, they do not understand what is transpiring in America.

The triumph wasn’t a Republican victory as much as it was a repudiation of deceit, corruption, regulatory abuse, and the arrogance of Barack Obama. The American people have had it with candidates who say one thing and do another. Character still counts to millions of us, and that will never change. Because deceitfulness is a fundamental component of Progressivism, we will never support candidates like Obama, Hillary, or their corrupt surrogates.

Among other things, the new Congress should appoint Independent Counsel to step up the investigations into the IRS scandal, Benghazi, Fast & Furious, and all the rest. We will not allow the criminals in the Obama administration to go unpunished. Count on it. My prediction is that Barry is going to be very busy granting pardons. When he does, those who receive them should be compelled to tell the truth under oath, which a pardoned person must do. They cannot take the 5th. If they don’t testify truthfully, they can be prosecuted for perjury. Either way, the truth will finally prevail, and the world will know exactly who Obama is.

Weathering the Storm of Obama’s Narcissism

Kirsten Powers, who is my favorite liberal, said, “The President tends to surround himself with people who suck up to him . . . ” She added, “I think he has a lot of Kool-Aid drinkers who think everything he does is right, and I think he needs to be able to have people there to confront him.”

Surrounding oneself with sycophants is a characteristic of a narcissist. In the three decades I spent working with the superstars of evangelicalism, I witnessed this type of behavior repeatedly. Narcissists crave adulation and cannot handle criticism, so it becomes the unspoken job of the leader’s staff you assuage their master’s ego. In evangelicalism, it led to the scandals of Bakker, Swaggert, and Robertson. In the Obama White House, it has led to the scandals of Benghazi, Fast & Furious, the IRS, the VA, and much more.

Unfortunately, there is no way to deal with a narcissist effectively. All we can do is hope to weather the storm until Obama’s time in office has expired. Narcissists never change, and those who criticize them pay a heavy price for doing so.

Holder Is Leaving—Thank God!

Eric Holder has been to President Obama what Luca Brasse was to the Godfather, Vito Corleone. Holder was appointed at the pinnacle of Obama’s popularity, when 65 percent approved of the President. From day one, Holder has seen his mission as one of enforcing Obama’s worldview down the throats of the American people. Refusing to call terrorism what it really is, Holder has consistently redefined reality to fit into the Obama viewpoint, which exalts Islam over the Judeo-Christian that has made us a great nation. It’s why Major Hasan Nidal’s attack at Fort Hood was defined as workplace violence instead of what it really was—a Jihadist attack.

Holder, whose loyalty to Obama superseded his oath of office, has also refused to investigate the scandals of his benefactor’s administration. To this day, Fast & Furious, the IRS, Benghazi, and the targeting of journalists have never been legitimately probed, and they probably never will be. Although Obama may be incompetent, Holder certainly isn’t. He has served his master well.

But Holder’s reign of terror is now at an end, and his replacement will not have the same level of power. Because Obama’s popularity hovers at 40 percent, the new Attorney General will be nothing more than a caretaker, as Americans anxiously wait to get rid of the worst President in American history.

The Bergdahl Scandal Is the New Benghazi

When the pressure to be forthcoming about events in Benghazi became so intense for the White House, to deflect, Lois Lerner came forward with her scripted apology about the IRS targeting conservative Americans. What Obama and “Team Obama” didn’t count on was that the IRS scandal would become as serious as the Benghazi scandal.

Nevertheless, the truth behind what really happened in Benghazi must be so damning that disclosing what the IRS was doing became acceptable collateral damage.

The same strategy is being implemented now. What has happened in the Veterans Administration is so scandalous that Obama needed the pressure alleviated. So, he swapped Sgt. Bergdahl for the Taliban Five, knowing it would cause an uproar, but he had no choice. Discovery of what has been happening to our veterans would be far worse. Bergdahl has bought him some time.

This is the problem with having a Narcissist for President. It isn’t that Obama refuses to admit he has been wrong about Benghazi or the VA; he can’t. He doesn’t believe he is wrong about anything. Narcissists never do, but in their efforts to cover their tracks, they make colossal blunders in judgment. This is what Obama has done with Bergdahl. What is surprising is that Obama thought he could get away with it.

Because he has been able to control most of the media, he assumed there would be no serious scrutiny of his actions. This is where he made a mistake, as discovery about who Bergdahl really is, is coming to light much more quickly than Obama anticipated. Unfortunately for the President, no one in Team Obama was willing to address the potential downside, which isn’t surprising. Sycophants are constitutionally incapable of confronting narcissists like Obama, choosing instead to tell their boss what a wise strategy it would be to divert from the VA by swapping a deserter for five mass murderers—a message our Narcissist-in-Chief was eager to hear.

All of Our Rights Are Inalienable, Including Taking the 5th

To all of my conservative friends: You cannot complain about Lois Lerner invoking her 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination and hold fast to your belief in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Amendments. All of these rights are inalienable, including the 5th. If you’re against the 5th but you are for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th, you are no different than the Progressives who believe it is their right to pick and choose whether or not we should have the right to freedom of religion, speech, privacy, and the right to own weapons.

These are rights our Creator bestowed on us as inalienable. So, if you believe in the Constitution, you must accept the 5th Amendment as valid. You do have every right, however, to come to the conclusion that Lerner’s need to remain silent means that President Obama was lying when he said there was not “even a smidgen” of corruption, concerning the IRS’s targeting of conservative 501c-4 political action groups. Remember, Lerner was willing to lie about her involvement in the IRS targeting before she was under oath, but not after she was placed under oath. Obama’s remarks were not under oath, which definitely makes their verity suspect.
