A Fifteen-Year-Old’s Prayer

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God’s name is prohibited by the state.
We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks…
They’ve outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King.
It’s ‘inappropriate’ to teach right from wrong,
We’re taught that such ‘judgments’ do not belong..
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles …
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It’s scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns, the school’s a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

Father, They Mock Your Name

Pretending to be wise, our Evil leaders

Mock Your Name, Your People, and Your purposes.

Believing they have all the power required

To establish unrighteousness at the expense of the just,

These odious miscreants greedily sneer,

In their contempt for all that is moral and honorable.

Laughing at Your Name and Your power,

They scoff at Your existence.

They do not believe You are real or that You hear our prayers,

But they are wrong. You are real, holy, and just.

You are mighty and strong, as You listen intently to our plight.

Lord, there remains a great assembly of your faithful followers—

Those who have never bowed their knee to injustice,

Nor will they. There are millions of Your servants

Who have never turned their face from You

To idolize this craven, deceitful coward who leads us.

We remain fervent in our loyalty to You and to no other.

Although we are weak, You are mighty and strong.

If it is in Your plan, Lord, turn America around.

Stir Your people with the Holy Spirit throughout our land.

Restore us to what we once were.

Expose the deeds of this Evil Tyrant done in the dark

With the penetrating light of Your Truth.

Redeem us so that the foolish and deceived

Will see You are Almighty God, able to redeem and restore.

Let the foolish witness Your Truth prevail

From the mountains to the valleys, from sea to shining sea.

For Your namesake, Lord, act quickly.

Lord, Our Leaders Mock Your Name

My Prayer for America—1

A Prayer for America to Return to the Ways of the Lord

Lord,

Have we passed the point of no return?

Having abandoned Your way to embrace

Those who scoff at Your Word and Your Truth,

We have chosen Feckless Leaders.

They do as they please, regardless of

Whether it is honorable, lawful, or wise.

Appealing to the masses of lawless, ignorant,

Self-serving and contemptuously ignoble,

This corrupt administration has abandoned justice

For a worldview that mocks Your Name,

While never considering the cost that must be paid

Bt repudiating the core values of this great land.

The deceitfully reprobate spy upon the righteous,

Placating us with assurances that it is

For our own good, but we know that it is not.

Their intent is to make us what we have never been—

What our Forefathers recognized as being Evil.

Having disregarded You for so long, is our devastation certain?

Have we passed the point of no return?

Or is there still time for us to repent and change our ways?

Millions who call on Your Name want to abandon this wickedness

And return to the people You desire us to be?

Is there still time for us to change, or are we destined

To pay a horrible price for repudiating You?

You know the answers, Lord. I do not.

Clearly, we deserve what we have brought upon ourselves.

We are without excuse, but You are quick to forgive.

 It is within Your power to restore us,

But is it in Your will to do so?
