COMMON SENSE: President Trump has been criticized for telling Putin that the USA would “win an arms race” with Russia. To some, that might seem braggadocios, but it’s not. It’s an easily provable fact. Trump just wanted to hammer this reality home to the bellicose Russian leader. Let me explain why Trump was wise and accurate to make that statement.

The GDP of the USA is about $19.4 trillion per year. Russia’s is $1.5 trillion, making our economy thirteen times larger than Russia’s. Normally, we spend about 3.5% on defense, which equates to about $700 billion. To just keep up with us, the Russians would have to dedicate 50% of their entire GDP to their military, which would break the economy of their nation. If we raised our spending to 5%, it would require Russia to spend 97% of its GDP on armaments.

That’s not possible. No nation could do this and survive. You can’t eat bullets. So, Trump was not only accurate, he was also making a very clear statement to Putin that it would not be in Russia’s economic interest to challenge us to an arms race. When the Soviet Union, which was twice as large as Russia, tried to have an arms race with President Reagan in the 1980s, their entire system collapsed. Despite Putin’s desire to put Humpty Dumpty back again, it simply cannot be done, which Trump clearly stated.

COMMON SENSE: I actually like the appointment of U.S. Attorney John Huber by Attorney General Sessions. Huber is tasked with investigating the following:
1. The Uranium One scandal, where Putin was allowed to buy the material necessary to make nuclear weapons, while Hillary’s received nearly $150 million in donations from Russian entities.
2. The entire pay-to-play scheme of the Clinton Foundation that made them billionaires.
3. The botched FBI investigation of Hillary’s emails, along with her server.
4. The abuse by the FBI and DOJ of the Steele Dossier by the FISA Court to spy on Americans illegally.
Because Huber already has a budget, a staff, and access to a grand jury, he doesn’t require months to hire a staff, and he may have already been investigating these issues for quite a while. Because he was originally appointed by Barack Obama and confirmed unanimously by the Senate, the leftwing media cannot simply dismiss his findings by calling it a “vast rightwing conspiracy.” Best of all, he doesn’t report directly to Rob Rosenstein, who may be as dirty as Comey and Loretta Lynch.
Daily, for over a year, we have heard nothing but Russia, Russia, Russia—without a shred of evidence that Trump colluded with them. Now, with Huber’s appointment, along with the release of the Horowitz I.G.’s Report, we will see whether or not there has been a “vast leftwing conspiracy” to take down a duly-elected President of the United States. I believe this is exactly what we will find.
My guess is the following people, and maybe more, are quaking in their boots to learn about Huber’s appointment: James Comey, Loretta Lynch, Bruce Ohr, Nelly Ohr, Glenn Simpson, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Andrew McCabe, Perer Strzok, Lisa Page, John Brennan, James Clapper, Susan Rice, Samantha Power, and Barack Obama.
If they aren’t scared, they should be. For the Rule of Law to be reestablished, the truth must come out, and the guilty held accountable.

COMMON SENSE—more thoughts on the Mueller Investigation: There is no way President Trump can be involved in initiating the conclusion of the Mueller investigation. He was set up—criminally set up, but the cabal that orchestrated it must be exposed by others. If Trump ends it out of frustration, they will win.

It is Attorney General Sessions’ job to take care of this, but he has recused himself, giving the cabal free reign to do their best to nullify the results of the 2016 Presidential Election. In an effort to be completely honorable and ethical, Se3ssions has allowed systematic Evil to reign, fool that he is.

Because Trump did not collude, there is no evidence that can be used to impeach him, but just the wear and tear of a never-ending, relentless investigation will take its toll on the President and on the American people.

The dishonorable portion of the Left doesn’t care. They are willing to take down the entire country—just to get to Trump. This isn’t hyperbole. There are several honorable people from the Left, however, including Alan Dershowitz, Jonathan Turley, and others, who are beginning to think Mueller should conclude, and they are starting to speak out.

Concerning Trump testifying before Mueller, it’s a bad idea, but if he does, he should limit it to questions about crimes involving collusion. Make Mueller name the crimes. Since they don’t exist, Trump should not allow a skilled prosecutor, or a skilled team of prosecutors, ask him anything they want. That is definitely a Baaaad idea!

Right now, everybody is waiting for the IG’s report to come out. When that happens, we will know a great deal more than we do now. Until then, please continue to pray for the President.

COMMON SENSE: When Robert Mueller began the investigation into Russian collusion, I posted several times that I thought he was honest, ethical, and would be fair. I maintained this view for quite a while, essential hoping that our Department of Justice and FBI would treat the President of the United States fairly. I no longer believe this.

Instead, I am convinced Mueller and his unscrupulous team have one purpose—to nullify the will of the American people by finding some trivial thing to have Trump removed from office. Since there has been no evidence of Trump colluding with the Russians, despite an exhaustive investigation to find evidence that he did,

Mueller should publicly exonerate Trump, but he won’t. That would strengthen Trump’s hand, undermine the credibility of the mainstream media, and possibly even open up the Clinton campaign to further scrutiny. Mueller certainly doesn’t want to do any of these things, so he is looking into other areas of Trump’s life, hoping to find something to destroy him.

By doing this, he is turning justice upside down.He isn’t investigating a crime; he’s investigating a man, hoping to find a crime, nullifying the Rule of Law, but that’s not all. Since the foundation of his entire investigation rests on the fraudulent Steele Dossier, nothing obtained from it is admissible. It’s all fruit from a poisoned tree. Nevertheless, the hatred for Trump by the Progressive Left is so intense that they will never admit they have been wrong.

Trump’s frustration about this is obvious. By firing his lead council, John Dowd, and not hiring Joe DiGenova, Trump doesn’t really have a lawyer. This creates a serious problem for him. Even worse, he doesn’t follow his lawyer’s advice anyway. All of this will come to a head with the release of Michael Horowitz’s IG Report.

When that happens, Trump will feel vindicated and insist the Mueller investigation cease. Then, the Left will call for impeachment for interference in an ongoing investigation, and we will be headed for a Constitutional crisis. Who knows what will come from it.

PRAYER for America

19554063_1438433042913746_4233556202023436284_n

FATHER:

When we take a good look around us at our great nation,

It is hardly recognizable to the one that it used to be.

It is no longer the land we remember from our youth—not even close.

In America, what was once taught to be right is now considered wrong,

Including our ability to proclaim our belief in basic Christian values.

Our traditions are now considered to be outdated and ignorant,

And expressing our viewpoint is considered “Hate Speech”

By the Progressives who impose their “Totalitarianism of Thought”

In our schools systems, in our twisted media, and throughout

The world of entertainment. They mock You and us daily.

These Leftists have imposed their anti-theistic value system

Upon every man, woman, and child in our great nation,

And it has nothing to do with You, Your Ways, or Your precepts.

Instead, these detestable purveyors of America’s “New Truth”

Proclaim a form of righteousness that champions Evil and depravity,

As being right, wholesome, and emotionally healthy, while castigating

The Judeo-Christian values that Americans have held since our founders

Came to the New World to create a “City on a Hill” centuries ago.

We recognize how unrighteous the values of the Progressives are.

We cringe at how repulsive and offensive the lifestyles of these smug

Disseminators of Evil have become, as they contemptuously castigate

Our biblical beliefs, while they champion a ways of life that is depraved.

They view their deviancy as normal and acceptable. In their degeneracy,

Their hearts have become hard and their minds have become seared.

Leading millions astray, they champion the darkness and call it light.

As we look at the deterioration of the values that once made America great,

Which is coupled with a profound hatred for You and for Your children,

Our hearts are so profoundly grieved that is difficult to express in words.

We know this is not what You desire for America, nor is it what we want.

As Your loyal children, we recognize it is our responsibility and our privilege

To be strong and resolute, as we stand firmly against the encroaching values

Of the Progressives, but to counteract their detestable worldview effectively,

We need Your help. Strengthen us for the task ahead. Embolden us

To remain solid and unified, as we embark on our quest to restore

Our beloved nation to greatness. We ask this is Christ’s Name, Amen.

COMMON SENSE: Okay, let’s deal with the elephant in the room—Stormy Daniels. This was an unforced error by Donald Trump, years before he became President, and falls in the category of “your sin will find you out.” I watched most of the interview Online last last night for one reason: People will ask me about it, but it was so distasteful that I had to turn it off after twenty minutes. I had seen enough.

So, here’s what I think. In an effort to take down Trump, to discredit him in as many ways as possible, to find some way to finagle his past to find grounds to impeach him and have him removed from office, the Progressive Left has found this worthless whore to parade as a paragon of virtue to tell her story. Well, she has told her story, and it is not nearly as salacious as I thought it would be.

What did surprise me is how old Stormy looked to be just thirty-nine, but she’s been ridden hard and put up wet and dirty. What didn’t surprise me was how disgusting and dishonorable her lawyer was. He’s the type of person who gives lawyers a bad name. The bottom line is this is a tempest in a teapot and means very little. I hate that these evil miscreants have humiliated the First Lady—the one true victim in this sordid mess.

COMMON SENSE: Concerning our military preparedness, one of my friends is a high-ranking military officer. After reading my post about why President Trump had to sign the Omnibus Spending Bill, my friend wrote, “Hey Jack, just wanted to tell you that I’m now back in the States going through demobilization processing. Over the last few days, it has become very clear on the base what years of Obama’s sequestration have done to the military.”

He continued, “This base, as many of them, has become run-down and fallen into disrepair. It’s like what excellence guru Tom Peters wrote in his book about the coffee stain on the tray table on the flight he was on. It made him wonder that if the airline has a cavalier attitude about what the passengers can see, what about what they can’t see, such as maintenance shortcuts. The visible signs of neglect at this military base only underscore the fight we undertake on a daily basis to maintain readiness, trying to scrounge repair parts for aircraft and tanks, sometimes doing bizarre things to get what we need.”

This is how bad things have become. He concluded, “It’s a challenge, moreover, it’s a threat to our national security. President Reagan took heat for Star Wars, but he knew the threat and knew that we had to stay ahead of it. When the shooting starts, you can’t fight with a roll of blueprints. President Trump knows this too.” This is why he had to sign the bill. All other considerations were secondary, including the criticism he has taken from his strong supporters.

COMMON SENSE: In 1939, when Hitler invaded Poland, World War II began. As German tanks rolled across western Poland, they were met by the Polish Army, which was primarily on horseback.

Because Poland fell behind Germany technologically, they couldn’t defend themselves adequately, and they were subdued within four weeks. Had they been better prepared, the Second World War would have been different, and the Holocaust might not have even happened.

Last month, Vladimir Putin announced to the world that Russia has a new ICBM—one that is not detectable. This means that while the USA has been busy with social engineering, we have neglected our military preparedness. Primarily because of sequestration, we have done very little in the past decade to keep up with Russia or with our other adversaries.

This has tilted the military balance of power and left us vulnerable to a preemptive attack. If you think I am overstating this, just ask yourself how effective you would be, if you were using a personal computer that was ten years old. It would be practically valueless. It would be like the Poles trying to fight the NAZI tanks on horseback. Our current situation is very similar to this.

Here is my point: We need every dollar allocated for defense from the Omnibus Spending Bill. No matter what it costs, or how great a sacrifice we must make, we must do what is necessary to ensure that no adversary has an advantage over us, particularly where strategic weapons are concerned. Our survival depends on it.

In my opinion, this is why President Trump had to sign that bill. As Commander-in-Chief, it would have been irresponsible for him to have vetoed it. On the other hand, if our military was current, which it is not, Trump probably would have vetoed it.

Because we are behind the eight ball, even though it has cost Trump enormous political capital, he did what was best for the American people by signing the bill. This is true leadership, and I admire him for doing what was right, even though it was unpopular with his supporters.

COMMON SENSE: Concerning the Omnibus Spending Bill, there are many things about it that I don’t like. A few are infuriating. It also feels like President Trump has chosen to follow the Dark Side, but he hasn’t.

We have several difficult situations internationally, including Russia, North Korea, Iran, and even China. The problem is our military is no longer prepared to defend our nation as completely or as confidently as it would have ten years ago. The reason is Obama gutted our preparedness in favor of funding his Progressive agenda. It’s that simple.

As a result, we have been forced to accept some strategic loses with this bill, by funding programs that clearly conflict with our value system, but all is not lost. Despite numerous moderate setbacks, the funds necessary to reestablish the USA as the world power we have been since World War II have been appropriated. That is a huge victory—one we would never have been able to achieve with Obama or Hillary.

The bottom line is this: Regardless of what has been required to accomplish it, rebuilding our military had to be priority #1 for Trump. He accomplished this, but at a substantial cost. Most Americans take our security for granted. Our Commander-in-Chief cannot. Frankly, that Trump showed the wisdom to look at the big picture, rather than be petulant and peevish about looking bad to all of us, should encourage you.

We have enemies. You know this, but you do not understand the level of danger we face like President Trump does, or General Mattis does, or Secretary of State designate Mike Pompeo does. So, give them some time, some space, and some love. They are working on our behalf—not against us. I promise you they are.

COMMON SENSE: The outrage of the Left over the firing of Andrew McCabe is as predictable as their rationale for why it was done. Nevertheless, they are correct about one thing. It does send a message—just not the one they believe it does.

On the Sunday talk shows, one Democrat after the other lamented how mean-spirited and unfair the firing was. Equally as predictable, Conservatives rebutted the fairness charge, accurately citing that the recommendation to fire McCabe came from the Office of Professional Responsibility within the FBI—not from Attorney General Sessions or President Trump. While the Conservatives are correct about this, they have also missed the point entirely.

The message that McCabe’s firing sent was directed to the men and women of the FBI and to other intelligence agencies. The message was this: There will be no double standard at the FBI. The elites on the 7th Floor will be held to account for their behavior, including “lack of candor,” just like the rank and file are.

The Rule of Law, which did not apply during the time of James Comey, under the leadership of Attorneys General Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, will once again be restored. It means honorable FBI agents will no longer have to hang their collective heads in shame because of the unethical and illegal actions of Comey and his criminal cadre. It also indicates that more heads will roll, perhaps very soon.

In firing McCabe, Sessions was bold and decisive, but that’s not all. In the documentation required for McCabe’s dismissal, there was reference to confidential information from a grand jury. This indicates that Sessions may be working behind the scenes to root out the cancer within the Bureau. If so, it will restore the FBI to its rightful place of prestige. At bare minimum, this firing gives us hope that the systemic corruption of the Obama administration may finally be brought to justice.
