U.N. Resolution 2117 lists 21 points dealing with firearms control, but the most important point is number 11, which “calls for member states TO SUPPORT WEAPONS COLLECTION and DISARMAMENT of all UN countries”. By a 53-46 vote, the U.S. Senate voted against the U.N. resolution, which is another defeat for Obama.

This vote was a clear attempt to circumvent the 2nd Amendment and our inalienable rights as American citizens. Even worse, if this vote had passed, we would be relinquishing our sovereignty to the United Nations, which is entirely unacceptable. How could any senator even consider doing such a thing?

Not one Republican voted for it. Thankfully, several Democrats crossed the aisle to preserve your rights. That the vote was so close is disturbing, but look at the list of those who voted for it. These are the people you should never support—senators like Landrieu, Udall, Franken and Shaheen. It’s also why Georgians shouldn’t support Michelle Nunn, who would act as rubber stamp for Obama.

When Barack Obama was first elected, he was championed worldwide as the man destined to lead us into an era of global peace, with the rights of the dispossessed elevated at the expense of the very wealthy. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for what he was going to do, rather than what he had already accomplished, the Progressives finally had the man of their choosing leading the most powerful nation on earth. The future looked bright for those who believed global peace could be established by wishful thinking.

President Obama’s foreign policy, in his own words, is this: “Don’t do stupid shit.” Unfortunately, that’s all he seems capable of doing—”stupid shit.” Vacillating and indecisive, Obama has backed the wrong horse in the Middle east repeatedly—first in Libya, then in Egypt, and finally favoring Hamas over Israel. Systematically downgrading our military, while threats from Russia, Iran, and ISIS have escalated, his strategy of leading from behind has been a colossal failure. We are in full scale retreat worldwide. American leadership, which has been present since World War II, is no longer predominant or even highly valued. Obama is neither feared nor respected, creating an enormous power vacuum destined to be filled by those intent on our destruction.

While Russian aggression threaten Ukraine and other nations in Eastern Europe, ISIS and Iran threaten the Middle East, and China grows strong, Obama and his inept advisors have focused on global warming. Now, well into the sixth year of his Presidency, not even his stalwart Kool-Aid drinkers can point to one accomplishment worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize. Even worse, as the anniversary of 9/11 looms, we are no better prepared than we were when the Jihadists struck us in Benghazi. The only good news is this: all we have to weather is another two years of his feckless leadership.

Symbolism has profound eschatological significance for the Jihadists, who believe they are destined to rule the world. Two weeks from today is the anniversary of 9/11, which means we will be more susceptible to attack on that day than any other. Because our administration is ideologically opposed to admitting Islam is savage and not a religion of peace, our vulnerability is compounded.

We have allowed illegals to pour through our southern border unchecked—again for President Obama’s ideological reasons. My fear is that many of these aliens are from ISIS, which wants to send a message that we are not as safe as Obama tells us we are. They want to prove they are not the junior varsity, but the real deal. How better to do so than to strike us on the anniversary of 9/11. If you think my apprehension is unwarranted, just remember how poorly we were prepared in Benghazi on 9/11—just two years ago.

By discounting reality because it does not align with Obama’s belief system, the American people who elected him twice have put themselves in peril. Clearly, we need a wake-up call, but I’m hoping it will come more peacefully than this.

Conservatives need to renew their minds. Instead of being reactive, we need to begin thinking strategically. This should begin with our assessment of Barack Obama. We were destined to have a Progressive in the White House. Al Gore nearly won in 2000.

That being said, we are lucky that Obama won. Yes, that’s exactly what I said, and I mean it. What if the Progressive who won worked hard and wasn’t lazy? What if he or she was an effective leader rather than grossly incompetent? What if that person was fundamentally honest, rather than a pathological liar? What if that person actually worked with Congress instead of holding the legislative branch in contempt? What if that Progressive actually did something that warranted a Nobel Peace Prize? Just think of the mess we would be in.

As it now stands, the results of Obama’s feckless leadership are plain for the world to see. Not only has he systematically orchestrated the decline of American influence worldwide, but he has also infected every agency of the federal government with his corrupt, Chicago-style politics. Once he had a legion of supporters. Now, he has very few, and they are dwindling daily.

He’s a charlatan at every level, and we are lucky to have him. The disillusionment he has created will make it very difficult for another Progressive to win. With Hillary in the wings, all we need to do to turn things around is stand our ground, fight for transparency, and look for a candidate who is strong in character and leadership qualities.

We are being led by an administration that loves the darkness rather than the light. Proclaiming to be the most transparent administration in American history, while not having a smidgen of evidence to substantiate its claim, the Obama administration pursues Evil, which it has redefined as Good.

Those who applaud the darkness do so in the name of freedom, but the meaning of freedom has changed considerably since the days of our Founding Fathers. Back then, freedom meant the ability to do what was right, unencumbered by governmental restraint. Now, it’s considered to be “freedom from restraint”—the ability to pursue vice. Right has become wrong, and wrong has become right.

Because the Children of Light didn’t see this coming—not at the level we now do—we were easy prey for Obama’s Evil intentions. But this is no longer the case. Each day, additional Americans are becoming aware of what is happening. We are no longer dormant or asleep, nor will sit by and allow our great nation to be destroyed by the flawed worldview of our narcissistic Commander-in-Chief.

The pendulum has passed its apex and is swinging back the other way. Soon, Obama’s deeds of darkness will be exposed to the light, and when they are, he will have no place to hide. Trust me; this is going to happen.

Because he made a wrong turn with weapons in his car, Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi has been in a Mexican jail since March 31st. During that time, people have made repeated pleas to President Obama to intervene on Sgt. Tahmooressi’s behalf, going so far as to present the Commander-in-Chief with a petition, signed by 100,000 citizens, asking for his help. Nevertheless, President Obama hasn’t done one thing to help.

Obama’s not going to help. It isn’t that Tahmooressi doesn’t deserve his help. In fact, the law states clearly that it’s the President’s job to try and get the Sargent released. Obama knows this; he just doesn’t want to do it. This is where the pissy part of his narcissistic personality disorder interferes with his ability to do his job.

According to Obama’s distorted thinking, letting Tahmooressi rot in jail is what he deserves. This conclusion is based on some real or perceived slight Obama has received from people like us—people who want to see Tahmooressi released. Maybe it’s because we compared Tahmooressi favorably to Bergdahl—the deserter who Obama championed. Who knows?

But the situation is similar to when Obama shut down the WorldWar II Memorial, turning away vets in their 90s, as payback to the Republicans for not raising the debt ceiling and shutting down the government. There was little correlation between the two in everybody’s eyes other than Obama—our narcissistic President. His sense of reality is different than others.

Continued appeals to Obama for Tahmooressi’s release will remain unanswered.

Obama enjoys sticking it to all of the conservatives who insist that he intervene. He’s not going to do it, regardless of how often he is asked. Continuing with my metaphor, to keep asking for his help is like pissing in the wind.

On Real Clear Politics, the President’s approval rating is 41%, which is quite low. This is the good news. The bad news is, despite his ineptitude, corruption, and mismanagement; four-out-of-ten Americans continue to support him. Why do you think that is? Here is my explanation:

First, there are still many “true believers” out there—those who refuse to admit they have been fooled. These are the people who insist that nearly all criticism of the President is racially motivated. Nothing will change their minds or alter their reality. It’s a waste of time and effort to try.

Second, there is a huge group of people who support Obama because they are amoral—just like he is. They don’t care if he is deceitful and corrupt. That he can get away with it is something they admire. Who re these people? They are the reprobates of society. They love Obama because he is one of them—their hero. These are the people who love the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds are Evil.

Third, there are those who support Obama because he champions their cause—like the gay & lesbian agenda of same-sex marriage, repudiation of the 2nd Amendment, extreme environmentalism, universal amnesty, and the growing pro-Islam movement. None of these factions care about the greater good of the nation. Thus, they support Obama, regardless of who he is or what he does.

Fourth, there are fools who simply know no better. They don’t really care about much more than simple creature comforts. World events bore them, so they continue to like Obama because it remains cool to do so. For them, long term planning is what to do next weekend.

On the other side, there is a significant number of Americans who are solid citizens. They are principled, always thinking of the best interests of the nation. These are the people that recognized Obama for who he is from day one. I’ll bet that 40% of the nation consists of people like these

If my number is correct, then the battle is over the remaining 20%. At first, this group championed Obama and were enthralled by his charisma. Now, after being lied to repeatedly, being told right is wrong and wrong is right, they no longer support him. These people will embrace another leader—just like they did Obama. The challenge is to find one who is principled, knowledgeable, and competent, while not being one plumb off center.

A friend’s son from Newton MA, my hometown, serves in the IDF tunnel commando unit. His unit was in Gaza for two-and-a-half weeks. During this time, they did not take off their bulletproof vests, didn’t brush their teeth, and didn’t take showers. Out of necessity, they had their water and food delivered. They lost members of their unit. They worked and fought around-the-clock, despite the danger, in order to destroy Hamas’ tunnels. Then, they discovered motorcycles in the tunnels that were ready to be used to expand the area for their killing sprees. All of this was set for 9/24/2014—the Jewish high holidays. Israel narrowly missed this 9/11 experience.

In the United States peace proposal offered by Secretary of State John Kerry, he insisted these tunnels, which have no purpose other than to attack Israel, remain intact. There can be no doubt where this administration stands. Obama, as he said in his memoir, stands with Islam.

At the same time, Christians across America need to make our voices heard loud and clearly. We will not stand with any administration, whether Republican or Democrat, who abandons Israel. For us, this is not a political opinion; it’s a conviction. If you are a believer, remember, it was for such a time as this that the Lord redeemed you. We must stand strong for His purposes, which include repudiating the goals of Hamas, as well as the political intentions of our own government.

What amazes me is anti-Semitism has once again become fashionable, especially in the Obama administration, the UN, and Western Europe. Israel is assumed to be wrong, even when they are clearly right, as they have been in defending themselves against rocket attacks and tunnels that have infiltrated their territory. The purpose of these tunnels is to inflict terror attacks within Israel—nothing else. Despite this, anti-Semitic rhetoric pours out against them.

For Progressives, racism remains a mortal sin, while anti-Semitism is now considered to be enlightened. This shift is because the Progressive worldview is based on nothing more than popular sentiment, which ebbs and flows like the tide. Such a basis for thought, as well as making policy, is not based on principle. Nevertheless, all who do not adhere to its tenets are considered to be fools or worse. Because there is no firm foundation for Progressivism, it will not stand long term, but it can produce a world of harm short term—just like it’s doing now.
