PROGRESSIVES:

Can you hear it? Can you feel it? Does it make you tremble? It should, because there’s a stirring in America that is palpable. It’s the rumbling of disquietude among people of faith—among those who long for righteousness. We are the producers of plenty in this great nation, and we are fed up with your deceit and corruption. We have been forced to accept your deceptive version of reality as normal, which it certainly is not. Even worse, we have been bullied by the leaders of Progressivism in our nation’s capitol. They are an odious lot of Cretans.

With one unresolved scandal after another, we have been manipulated and deceived, never getting close to the truth, as the spin-doctors deflect from factual accuracy to create a new reality, which we the people are expected to accept as true. These leaders of Progressivism smile at their mischief, certain the mainstream media will turn a blind eye to protect their deceptions and America’s first black President—the most deceitful and incompetent man to ever hold the office. Because he is black, the press and spin-doctors expect us to refrain from any criticism of his behavior, his leadership, or his anti-American policies. At first, this strategy was successful, but it will not work any longer.

Being obedient to the Holy Spirit of God, we will not sit by any longer and witness the demise of our great nation. We are going to rid ourselves of the damnable corruption that threatens to destroy us. We will not tolerate your ways any longer.

Instead, we will stand for God’s way and not for the perverted worldview we have been force-fed by you for years. We are tired of your corruption—sick of it. We are tired of your deceit, tired of your manipulation, tired of having our values discarded in favor of perversion.

We are not just tired of President Obama. We are equally tired of most of our self-serving legislators—both Democrats and Republicans—who have sworn to uphold our Constitution but do the exact opposite. We are tired of right being called wrong and wrong being called right.

In your arrogance, you have mocked Almighty God and His people, thinking we are powerless to stop your encroachment upon our inalienable rights, but you are wrong. We are not weak, and we are not powerless. We are stronger than you can possibly imagine, and we are resolute in our convictions. We will prevail—if not now, soon. You can count on it.

To answer this question, you need to answer another one first: What made the American healthcare system the envy of the world? Was it Socialized medicine or was it American exceptionalism? If you can accept that it is American exceptionalism, which doesn’t require much intellectual honesty, then the answer to whether or not defund Obamacare becomes far easier.

If we want to continue having the best healthcare system in the world, repudiating Obamacare is the way to do it. Not only is Obamacare unready for full implementation, it is bad policy. It has been bad policy ever since Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid forced it upon us, with the help of President Obama cutting one unethical deal after the other to garner the votes necessary to make it law.

Now, as it is about to be implemented, TV commentators and other mainstream journalists say that the vote in the House to defund Obamacare will ultimately fail and that the Republicans should never have forced the issue.

I disagree. What was their alternative? To stand by idly and allow the nation to be destroyed? Of course not. It is never wrong to do the right thing, regardless of the outcome of your actions. Voting to defund Obamacare was the right thing to do, and this was the right time to do it.

Not only will the law make us a nation of part-time workers, but it will also fund an additional 10,000 IRS agents—all of whom will have the Lois Lerner mandate to grind us into submission to the will of the executive branch of the government. Let me ask you:

  • Is this what we want?
  • Do we need more ISR agents and fewer doctors?
  • Do we want less privacy and more bureaucracy?
  • Do we want higher costs with diminished services?
  • Do we want more incompetent leadership from Obama, Pelosi, and Reid and not less?

The answer for most of us is no.

Because nationalized medicine is the Holy Grail of the Progressives, the attacks upon patriotic Americans who stand in their way will be vicious and visceral. Nevertheless, standing our ground by repudiating Obamacare is what we are called to do. Remember, it is never wrong to do the right thing at the right time and the right place. This is our time to stand up and say no to Obamacare, no to the legion of IRS miscreants this law will empower, no to the President, and no to Progressivism. Future generations will bless you for weathering the onslaught and for being resilient and strong.

Father,

When I look around and witness

How much our great nation has changed,

A sense of despair and foreboding comes upon me.

I am afraid of what the future holds for those

Who will be tasked with restoring order from the mess

This generation of Americans has created.

Even more troubling is what I discern among the youth.

They lack resilience and have no intention of striving for rewards.

Instead, they want everything to come easily, as if they are entitled

To wealth and a life of abundance with little to no effort.

They seem lazy and self-serving, lacking erudition and purpose.

They lack the mettle and the fortitude to face what awaits them.

Choosing to embrace comfort and folly over fortitude and resilience,

A new generation of Americans has emerged—one that is

A shadow of our determined forefathers, who were responsible

For creating the land of milk and honey out of a barren wilderness.

Witnessing how badly we have declined, I wonder if we have

Ceased to be the land of the free and home of the brave?

Worst of all, our children do not know who You are, Father.

Foolishly, they have chosen to embrace lies, championing deceit as the truth.

They are convinced they can define You, choosing to believe what they desire,

Rather than accepting who You have declared Yourself to be in Your word.

They have no foundation to face uncertainty, or the reversal of fortune

That seems certain to destroy our nation’s righteous liberties.

Without Your active intervention, through the stirring the people’s hearts,

Our future is destined to be short and bleak, ending in servitude.

Father, raise up men and women of honor and integrity by the scores,

As You have done in generations past, to help us reclaim our heritage.

Expose the corruption, fraud, and deceit of those who champion

False gods, false beliefs, and deceptions that have led us to perilous times.

You are Almighty—You and You alone. There is no other like You.

Only You can restore us to be what You brought us to this land to be—a

A city on a hill for the entire world to emulate.

Because it is not in the national interest of either Russia or the United States to have the Syrian Civil War become a regional or global conflict, the current crisis will likely diminish rather than escalate. That’s good news, but the bottom line is Russia’s influence in the Middle East will increase at the expense of the United States. That’s not good news.

Regrettably, Russian Premier Vladimir Putin has outplayed President Barack Obama at every turn, making our community organizer look foolish in the process, which has been part of Putin’s purpose. It isn’t just that Putin dislikes Obama; Putin loathes everything about the man. For Putin, I believe Cold War thinking has become personal. Let me give you one good example why.

When Obama went to the G-20 meetings in Russia, he made certain to find time to meet with gay rights activists in Russia. By doing this, Putin was offended. He considered it to be a slap in the face, especially after also being lectured about the subject by Obama, concerning gay participation in next year’s Winter Olympics. Obama, playing to the strong gay lobby in America, chose to offend the Russian Premier, as well as the 150 million adherents of Russian Orthodoxy. Obama did the same thing on his African trip, but there was a difference. None of the African leaders, who were also offended, have the power to make Obama’s life unpleasant. Putin certainly does.

To help you understand the enormity of Obama’s offense, let me give three hypothetical comparisons:

  • What if Putin came to the United States and met with pro-life groups, telling them that Planned Parenthood murders babies, and it must not be tolerated? How offensive would that be to millions of Americans?
  • An avid sportsman, what if Putin met with the NRA and said Americans need to protect their 2nd Amendment rights at all costs? Would millions consider his interference in our domestic affairs to be inappropriate?
  • What if Putin held a press conference in San Francisco and said homosexuality is perversion, which is the position of Russian Orthodoxy, adding that all Americans should be appalled by legalizing sodomy? How would that sit with San Franciscans?

I think the answer is obvious, regardless of one’s position. Putin’s interference in our domestic politics would be considered unacceptable and offensive by all. Yet, that’s exactly what Obama has done in Russia. By doing so, he has offended millions of Russians, which the politically astute Putin keenly recognizes.

Countering Obama, by making him look weak, inept, and vacilating, Putin has enhanced his prestige at home considerably. Best of all, it’s all been at the expense of Obama. The disdain for our President is so great, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said, the U.S. is like “a monkey with a hand grenade” in the Mideast. Normally, international politics is far more civil, especially in times of crisis, but not where Obama is concerned. Making him look foolish is part of Russia’s purpose. Was Rogozin’s comment racist? Of course, it was, but it shows the level of antipathy the Russians have for Obama, which does not bode well the United States for the rest of Obama’s administration.

The Syrian crisis isn’t going well for President Obama, nor will it. Unfortunately, because he is our leader, it isn’t going to go well for our nation either. It isn’t just that he has made a foolish challenge about Syria stepping over a red line—a misstatement he cannot correct without loosing face. It goes much deeper than that.

We are in perilous waters. America has not been in this difficult a situation since the Cuban Missile Crisis, which brought us to the brink of thermonuclear war with the Soviet Union in 1962. We are facing a crisis that requires strong, principled leadership. We need a dependable man—a man whose wisdom we can trust. Barack Obama isn’t that person; he’s incapable of being that person. There are two reasons why.

First, he has a narcissistic personality disorder that prevents him from taking responsibility for failure. In his eyes, he is always right. He has to be right. If you disagree with him or with the way he is handling a situation, you become his enemy. It’s always that way for a narcissist. It’s why he has sycophantic people advising him like his National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, instead of seasoned veterans of foreign policy who are willing to tell him when he is wrong. Rice isn’t strong enough to do that. She may be a good basketball player and a trusted accomplice in deceiving the American people about Benghazi, but she cannot help Obama stand up to Putin.

Obama is the one who said the use of chemical weapons would precipitate the United States to intervene in the Syrian Civil War. Now, he is saying that it’s Congress’ red line or the world’s red line. To admit he was the instigator would put “responsibility and blame” on him, and that’s something a narcissist like Obama can never do. It’s not in his nature to do so. President Truman said, “The buck stops here.” For President Obama, it is, “The buck never stops here.”

For better or worse, the problem is ours. We are responsible because we elected him. We married him without knowing him. Now, we have come to discover he does not have the character necessary to face a tough international crisis. He’s incapable of guiding us through unscathed. Syria is his Waterloo, which means it may be ours as well.

Second, by consistently giving Obama a pass on his performance for five years, essentially covering up his mistakes, our press has made it impossible for him to face a tough challenge. Refusing to publish, “The Emperor is wearing no clothes,” the press has either skewed stories or buried them completely in their relentless quest to ensure that the first black, Progressive President is successful. Having done this has infuriated Obama’s critics, but the person hurt the most by not having to face reality has been Obama himself.

By having his weaknesses covered up, He has come to count on having an easy road to success. Now, the road is suddenly anything but easy. It has become treacherous and difficult, and Obama isn’t seasoned enough to navigate the terrain, which he should be after five years in office. It’s like he has been training for a heavyweight title bout by reading his own press clippings about how tough he is, instead of actually being toughened up, by having been forced to face the consequences of his mismanagement in smaller situations. To be the person he needs to be now, Obama should have been sparring, running, and weightlifting for the past five years instead of leading the soft life made possible for him by his fawning media.

Now, it is too late. Our feckless leader is clueless about what to do. Congress, especially the house of Representative, will not sustain his folly. If he acts without Congressional approval—after asking for it—his effectiveness as President will be over. It may even be worse than that. He may initiate Armageddon. If he does, it will not be his fault. You can count on that.

There are eight reasons why I predict Congress will not support Obama’s war initiative in Syria:

  1. Obama has not presented a clearly defined purpose for such an attack—far from it. He looks like he is in over his head, which will work against him.
  2. It isn’t even clear that the Assad government is the culprit.
  3. There is no international support for Obama’s plan, including the U.N. Bush has 48 countries supporting his war; Obama has one—the French. That’s not very reassuring.
  4. The conflict in Syria is a thirty-month-old civil war that is none of our business. We haven’t been attacked like we were on 9/11.
  5. Our national interests are not at stake, despite Obama and Kerry’s insistence that they are. What national interest? Be specific.
  6. The American people do not want another Middle Eastern war—neither Democrats, Republicans, or Independents favor it.
  7. Attacking Assad would help al Qaeda, and Americans have no stomach for that, especially so close to the 9/11 attack and Benghazi.
  8. Obama has routinely treated Congress contemptuously, so there is very little personal loyalty to him—not even in his own party. So, our feckless elected representatives are not going to risk losing their seats so that Obama can save face. It isn’t going to happen, and certainly not in the House of Representatives, where the money is.

There are those who want to congratulate President Obama for exercising wisdom and prudence about his desire to strike the Assad regime in Syria over the use of Serin gas in their thirty-month civil war. I am not one of them.

Obama, desirous of doing as he pleases with impunity, simply can’t find anybody to support him. That he can’t is a serious blow to his Presidency. He has exposed himself for what he is—a weak, feckless leader. Now, the entire world can see for themselves that the Emperor is wearing no clothes.

In America, neither the Right nor the Left are willing to stand behind him, especially since he has been unwilling to wait for the UN to finish its investigation. The inspectors have not yet determined if it was Assad who was responsible for the gassing or the rebels themselves, trying to get Obama to be their air force. Obama, who lied at the UN about Benghazi, wants us to believe him now, but that’s not going to happen.

President Obama’s inability to impose his will, as the leader of the world’s only superpower, will make it much more difficult for him to accomplish his Presidential agenda of fundamentally transforming the United States of America. He may be the earliest lame duck in history, and I believe we have the British Parliament to thank for that. The Prime Minister, David Cameron, wanted to back Obama’s air strike, but he also wanted Parliamentary support to do so. He didn’t get it. He missed by twelve votes. That means that if seven members had voted differently, things would be different. By now, there would already have been an air strike on Syria  that might have escalated the Syrian Civil War into a regional conflict—perhaps even larger than that.

Cameron couldn’t keep his troops in line on this one because of its seriousness and because many MPs don’t like Obama’s arrogance. When he refused to attend the funeral of Margaret Thatcher, or even send the Vice President as his representative, it was an unappreciated slight to our number one ally. Obama was equally obtuse when he sent back the bust of Winston Churchill, which was a gift of Her majesty, Queen Elizabeth. Obama did this because of his personal antipathy toward the Empire aspect of the United Kingdom. The Brits felt the sting, so when Obama needed them, many MPs were simply unwilling to step up to the plate for him. Who can blame them?

In international politics, what goes around comes around. We have the United Kingdom to thank for providing a check on Obama’s lust for power. Now, it is the Congress’s turn to do the same thing. Our Congressmen need to sustain what the Brits started, remembering that for Obama, the Constitution isn’t the law of the land. It’s simply a group of suggestions, which he routinely ignores. What is in front of Congress is more than a vote on Syria. It’s our lawmakers chance to stop the usurper in his tracks and reestablish the power of Congress to make the laws of the land. Don’t miss this opportunity.
