The Hypocrisy in Charlottesville

 

COMMON SENSE: Being a Christian, which is my primary identity, racism has no place in my world. Since Christ loved all of Mankind and died for the sins of everybody, we are all equal in the eyes of God. Thus, racism, in any form, is a sinful mindset—period.

That being said, taking down the memorial to Robert E. Lee in Charlottesville seems like the epitome of hypocrisy. If you are going to do this, if this is required because of Lee’s role in the Civil War, then shouldn’t the entire University of Virginia be dismantled, stone by stone? After all, it was founded by Thomas Jefferson, our 3rd President, founder of the Democratic Party, and lifelong slave owner.

If Lee’s statue comes down, then to be consistent, the University of Virginia should also cease to exist. Going one step further, the Commonwealth of Virginia, founded by slave owners, should be dissolved, as should the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and several other states. Or, as an alternative, we could choose to respect our history, while not agreeing with all aspects of it.

Nothing Will Stop Us from Getting Stronger—Nothing!

COMMON SENSE: The difference between the belief system I espouse and the beliefs of the Progressive Left have many differences, but the core difference is this. My sense of Right vs. Wrong is absolute. For a Progressive, because there is no such thing as absolute truth, there is no absolute Right & Wrong.

 

Founded upon the Judeo-Christian Ethic and biblical precepts, my beliefs never change, and I have a hard line about what is acceptable and what is not. For a Progressive, achieving and maintaining power is all that is important. Whatever is necessary to make this happen is acceptable—anything.

 

For a Progressive, the ends justify the means. For me, and for millions of others like me, how we do things is more important than achieving our goal. Doing the right thing is more important than winning. For a Progressive, such thinking is nonsense.

 

In this highly charged political climate, because Progressives can justify violence to achieve their ends, nearly all of the criminal acts comes from the Radical Left. They believe this strategy will work. They consider us to be weak, but they are mistaken. We are strong, and we are getting stronger by the day.

ISLAM Is Not Peaceful—Quite the Contrary

COMMON SENSE: We must understand and accept the anti-American goals of Islam. Plain and simple, they want to destroy and subjugate the United States of America. For them, there is no middle ground. From their perspective, conquest and subjection to Allah is what America’s future must be. To be true to Allah, there can be no other result. If we refuse to become Muslim, we must die—period.

 

For us to be effective in thwarting this Evil, anti-American goal, we must come to understand why Islamic beliefs can never be peacefully integrated into our way of life. By nature, the Islamic worldview gravitates to extremism. Obviously not all Muslims are terrorists, but the percentage who are is alarmingly high. Thus, it is a serious mistake to believe that peaceful integration of Islam into our society can ever become a reality. To believe that it can is as foolhardy as believing you can domesticate a cobra.

 

Stating the objectives of Islam is not being Islamaphobic, despite what the Progressives say to the contrary. It isn’t hate speech either. It’s just being straightforward with the truth, which is something that has become offensive to the Leftists in our politically correct society.

 

It is only in recent years, when Progressive thinking superseded and replaced our traditional Judeo-Christian worldview, that fear of being straightforward with the truth has become a problem. Having traveled the Progressive road for awhile, to simply state the truth is now considered “hate speech” by a large portion of our society. It is not.

 

To survive and get back on the right road, we must embrace the values of our forefathers, which were Christian, and repudiate the globalist values of the Progressives. If we do not, the United States will be no better off than the European nations are now.

Taking the “High Road” Has Value

COMMON SENSE: It should not surprise any of you that I would call for us to take the high road, knowing it’s the only way we will ever make America truly great again. Although not as well read as my COMMON SENSE posts, I also post AFFIRMATIONS, PRAYERS, MEDITATIONS, and GOD’S PROMISES. I have done this consistently for years, including daily posts on “The Search for Reality” page.

 

Everything I do and everything I write has one purpose: to help my friends be the best version of themselves they can be. It’s my only goal.

 

Have I become naive about the Darkness that threatens to destroy us? No, I have not. Have I become soft? No, I just have a clear understanding of what we need to do and how we need to behave. Do I believe the Progressives have suddenly chosen to be honorable? Of course not, but I do know that we must be better than we have been, if we want to change the minds and hearts of those who criticize our values and the worth of our heritage.

 

We have a chance to do something of monumental significance, but we will never accomplish it by being as vile and hateful as the Left. So, I will continue to point is toward higher ground. As Barry Goldwater once said, “In your heart, you know I’m right.”

PATRIOTISM Is Back in Style

COMMON SENSE: In 2008, I wrote extensively about Obama, warning that he was a militant ideologue—a man who favored globalism over patriotism and Islam over Christianity. Not surprisingly, I was excoriated for my position and called every name in the book. But I knew I was right.

 

Over the years, while being the loyal opposition, I continued to point out what was happening and how Obama’s Presidency was eroding core American values. Because I stuck to ideas rather than name calling, at least for the most part, my miniscule audience began to grow.

 

Despite being mocked routinely for being patriotic, when the globalist agenda was thriving, I continued with my pro-American message, which many considered anachronistic. Now, as a new day is dawning and we are busy making America great again, I can say it was worth the sacrifice, but even if my efforts had failed completely, I would still have done the same thing. I had no other choice. It’s who I am.

The Clintons AreCompletely Corrupt

COMMON SENSE: At first, the stories about the corruption of the Clintons was just a trickle. Now, these stories have become a steady stream. Soon, within days, they will become a flood, but the moral outrage about Bill and Hillary’s behavior has been tepid at best, even among many misguided people of faith.

 

Since when has political corruption been morally acceptable? Since when has our leader, the President of the United States, sided with the corrupt at the expense of the American people? Since when has the FBI, allegedly the premier law enforcement agency in the world, given a pass to criminals, choosing personal gain for themselves instead? Since when has our media, who are supposed to seek the truth, been more invested in obscuring reality?

 

For too long, the American people have been passive but no longer. We are rising up in righteous indignation to hold these crooks accountable. Their time for reckoning is at hand.

Putin Wants Hillary in Office—Not Trump

COMMON SENSE: I just watched Hillary Clinton’s abbreviated press conference on her plane, and I have two comments:

 

1. That it ended abruptly because Hillary was overtaken by a coughing fit indicates that she is physically unfit to do the job. She just isn’t healthy enough to be President.

 

2. When she suggested that the Russians wants Trump to win, you need to ask why that would be? Putin is aggressive and has territorial aspirations in Eastern Europe. Who is more likely to stand in his way, Trump or Hillary? Neither Hillary nor Obama were willing to check Putin’s annexation of the Crimea, were they? Also, if Putin has Hillary’s deleted emails, he can blackmail her throughout her Presidency, which she knows. Instead of admitting how vulnerable this makes her, because she never admits anything, she is projecting her weakened position onto Trump. Keep this in mind because it’s how Hillary plays the game.

Cruz’s Bitterness Has Destroyed His Future

COMMON SENSE: Bitterness is hardened anger. Nobody wants to be bitter, but it’s inevitable, when you succumb to self-righteously embrace your wounds—when you justify them as being right—rather than turn them over to God. If you place them in God’s hands, over time, you can become a forgiving person. If you can muster the courage to do that, you will become a person of value, a person who demonstrates the positive fruits of the Spirit of God.

 

Unfortunately, few choose to forgive. Because they do not own enough of their own souls, people like this chafe instead. They continue to justify their woundedness rather than abandon it. By embracing their acrimony, they think they are hurting the other person, but they are only hurting themselves. Unwittingly, they allow emotional poison to become self-consuming, destroying their future.

 

Ted Cruz demonstrated this error for us last night. Does he have justification to be bitter? Of course, he does, but his actions only hurt him—not Donald Trump. I hate that this has happened, but it has. Like all of Life’s lessons, I hope Cruz learns from it, but I doubt he will. Instead, like millions of others, he will choose to justify his actions, which are so unlike the Lord, Cruz talks about serving.

Trump Has Many Positive Characteristics

COMMON SENSE: I’ve been challenged to say something positive about Donald Trump, rather than just continue to point out how corrupt Hillary Clinton is, which she is. So, here goes:

 

1. Although Trump is not a traditional Christian, his love of country is very attractive. He genuinely wants to make America great again and has been willing to take millions of dollars worth of vicious ads aimed at him—both from the Right and the Left. He’s doing this for us, and I admire him for it.

 

2. As compared to Barack Obama, President Squat-to-Pee, Trump is a very strong man—one our allies will respect and our foes will fear. Unlike Obama, Trump will do what he says he will do, rather than behave like Phineas T. Bluster.

 

3. Trump is committed to work for free. With Hillary selling favors to foreign nations—all to benefit her personal wealth—Trump will do the exact opposite. Running for President has cost him plenty. We can count on him to do the right thing for the right reason at the right time.

 

4. Trump will create real wealth for America and make our military stronger—both of which we desperately need after being raped by Team Obama.

Hillary and Obama Champion Depravity

COMMON SENSE: The reemerging obsession with the O.J. Simpson case is very interesting. Like so many others, I can remember where I was, when the slow-speed chase happened and when the verdict was announced.

In many ways, that case reminds me of what is happening in our country today. When O.J. was acquitted, I was at the Varsity in Atlanta. All of the white people were stunned—shocked by such a miscarriage of justice, while the African-Americans cheered that he got off. Despite all the evidence to the contrary, they just wanted him to get off.

It’s the same thing in 2016. Our societal morality has declined so far that multiplied millions willingly support Hillary Clinton—the most corrupt politician in American history. Like O.J., they just don’t care what she has done or how badly she has violated her oath of office. They just want to see a woman win.

It’s the same with Obama. Fools by the millions excuse his deceit, his incompetence, and his loathing for the people he has sworn an oath to protect and defend. Progressives, blacks, gays, spineless Republicans, and those on the dole simply do not care that he has done everything in his considerable power to take the United States “down a notch or two.” Calling right wrong, while they champion the wisdom of foolishness, with smug, self-righteous grins on their faces, like lemming racing to their inevitable demise, they are systematically destroying the foundations of our nation that required centuries to build.

Equally at fault are many deluded Christians and Jews—those who should be able to discern this evil, but are too compromised to do so. It’s just like the Simpson trial. Just as I could not believe the verdict reached by O.J.’s jury, I cannot believe what I am seeing in America today. It’s heartbreaking. I grieve for the future of our beloved nation.
