DONALD TRUMP: If there was ever a time in your life to become humble, it is now—not just to say the right things, but to become the right things. Before the debate on Sunday night, on Sunday morning, you should get on your place with Ben Carson and Mike Huckaby and just show up at that black church in Detroit—not to speak but to listen.
If you can do this, if you can hear the message, if you can repent of what has been debilitating you, if you can prostrate yourself before the Living God, then, and only then, can you redeem yourself with the American people. Most of your supporters are people of faith. They are remarkably forgiving, but you have to give them something to work with that is substantial. Half measures will not work.
