COMMON SENSE: We are being deluged with radical Progressive ideas from about two dozen Leftists who would have us believe their ideas are relevant. They aren’t.
Because Trump is running unopposed, his America-first Populist ideas are not being showcased like they were in 2016. Instead, because they are being implemented, the Left is free to attack them with impunity. That’s politics.
The net effect of this is we are being led to believe this country is moving to the Left very quickly, and this is a good thing. This isn’t happening, despite the media’s assurance that it is. Instead, the center-right is what is really gaining ground.
To achieve an advantage over the pack and, to distinguish themselves from the others, the Democratic Presidential hopefuls are racing Leftward, but the American people are not. We see what has happened to Europe and to our inner cities—the ones that have been ruled by Democrats for decades.
Americans don’t want this. We never have wanted Socialism. Instead, we want a strong, peaceful nation filled with abundance, which is exactly what Trump is producing.

COMMON SENSE: In a heated conversation with Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) over bringing impeachment proceedings before his committee and the for a House vote, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she didn’t want to impeach President Trump. Instead, she wants to put him in prison after voting him out of office in 2020.
I am thrilled Pelosi has said this. She has made herself perfectly clear. She wants to put the President in jail. I don’t want her to succeed in doing this, but I am thrilled that she has gone on record saying that this is her goal.
Because she has, whenever any Progressive fool criticizes me for insisting that Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Strzok, Page, Ohr, Lynch, or a host of other Deep State conspirators needs to be imprisoned, I can use Pelosi’s call for Trump’s imprisonment as my justification for wanting to throw these Deep State scoundrels in jail.
This is actually great. Although Trump isn’t guilty of covering up any real crimes, my list of conspirators certainly has. I want them all to do hard time, including Hillary Clinton.

COMMON SENSE: Nancy Pelosi my be a horrible excuse for a human being, but she is definitely a shrewd and capable politician. Her reluctance to pull the trigger on an impeachment vote is based on her well-founded fear of how badly this will impact her power position in the House of Representatives.
I doubt that this would be extremely bad for the country has actually entered into her decision-making process, despite what she says to the contrary. She only cares about herself and her own personal power.
Her major reluctance to call for a vote is that it will prove to be unfruitful, which means she will have wasted her two years as Speaker. Plus, it will give the Republicans a major campaign issue to flip the House back to the Republicans.
I suspect there is another reason as well. If the I.G. Report reveals that the intelligence community actually framed President Trump, which it may well do, a vote to impeach Trump will certainly backfire on the Democrats. With the order to declassify the investigative predicate for appointing Robert Mueller as Special Counsel being been made by Trump, Pelosi is also skeptical that the entire investigation may have been illegitimate. This would also make an impeachment vote unwise. She would look like a fool, and she definitely doesn’t want that.
Therefore, I suspect she will hold firm about calling for an impeachment vote, while simultaneously trying to dishonor and discredit Trump at every turn. She is not in an enviable position. Neither are her foolish cronies, Schiff, Watters, Nadler, and the ultimate fool, Swalwell. No matter what, her power position is destined to atrophy. The only question remaining is just how much.
